III- DESIGN REGISTRATION IN EGYPT

 Industrial Designs are protecting able in Egypt through registration with the competent office. The international Classification of Designs is effective in Egypt .

The registration of industrial design are published in the Official Gazette.

A industrial design registration is valid for five years starting from the date of filing the application.

Requirements for Filing a Design Application:

•  A Legalized power of attorney up to the Egyptian Embassy or

   Consulate at your end.

•  A Legalized extract of commercial register or certificate of

    incorporation has to be furnished up to the Egyptian.

•  Ten representations (photographs or drawings) of the design on

    good quality paper (size 33x21 cm.)

•  A Legalized copy of priority document up to the Egyptian

    Embassy or consulate, if the priority claimed by applicant.

•  List of goods and class covered by each design.

•  Name, nationality, address, profession & / or nature of business

   of applicant.
